The vertical design of the hopper allows most wood to self-feed. All you have to do is drop in a branch. Once the knife grabs the wood…just let it go and prepare for the next one. And look at the size of that branch! This chipper will easily handle hard wood up to 4-1/2″ thick… and turn it into beneficial mulch. Another time saving benefit of the hopper is that it allows you to run branches through the chipper with minimal pruning. You can also dump bunches of smaller branches in all at once, rather than running them through one at a time. The 3-Point Hitch DR CHIPPER is compatible with any category 1 tractor with an engine size ranging from 19 to 65 horsepower.
