“POS is Ruining My Life” (acoustic)
Stefon Alexander (aka POS) is one of the tallest trees in the forest of Twin Cities hip-hop. His punk-influenced music confronts listeners with raw production and intense lyrics. As a solo artist and founding member of the Doomtree collective, Stef continues to push the boundaries of traditional hip-hop. His last album ‘Audition’ was released in January, 2006. POS has so much talent and power in his music, i was at one of his shows a couple months ago and the energy that was coming from the stage was almost unbearable, goosebumps like no other..lol
@ArkVel the talent lays not so much in the instrumentation, (even though most people couldnt do what he just did), but in the lyrical content of the song itself.
@ArkVel checkout his 3 albums and then say if he has talent or not.
that was fucking amazing………….
@ArkVel Have you seen anything else he has done? He has amazing flow, and his lyrics are the best I have ever seen in a hip hop artist, and some of the best I have ever heard. Not only that but he puts on one hell of a show, and makes some killer beats. Also making an acoustic verison of a rap song on the fly, not talented? I personally think so.
@longhornfaithful Look, I tried to sit down and give this every amount of attention I could, and I still couldn’t come close to think this is in any way talented. All he is doing is playing two chords (power chords mind you) and rapping over some generic drum beat.
This is some talent
whoa, its been a year since i watched this video, i could say it really changed my music life, ever since someone commented “oh he used a sample of Underoath’s song “its dangerous buisness walking out your front door” ..that day i got into metalcore and that heavy ass shit…..to the person that wrote that comment thank you and to P.O.S, you pretty much broke the boundries of underground and heavy music…keep doing what youre doing.. thanks man (:
POS is ruining my life doesn’t really seem like a song that should be played acoustically, but he pulled it off none the less. i really like the acoustic version.
He lyrically amazes me. Shits raw.
just absolute raw talent. amazing
@longhornfaithful agreed wholeheartedly. Heartfelt music such as his, is far too rare. Met him at Warped too ironically, chill ass dude. No ego, just a human being with a huge heart and a brilliant mind.
he has so much skill its crazy you dont just learn how to be that good
He is my favorite all time rapper with the exception of Slug and AD3K
@longhornfaithful Yah man, I talked with him for a bit at Warped one year. I saw him while watching gallows. He was super cool and is incredibly talented.
Was that dude saying no? wtf?
@heee2 its some kind of an mpc. search mpc 2000 and you’ll find some nice ones
what kind of drum machine he uses in this video? anyone…?
it’s a sampler.
it’s a sampler.
Dude. I have the same guitar. NICE!
@XxMurasamexX I’m sure it’s some kind of Drum Machine, not sure about the specific brand or model, though.
this shit made me cry the first time i heard it
Stef has more talent in his little finger than any other so called “artist” in mainstream hip-hop
what do you call that box thing he uses for beats
